Kin Kinu
Character Bio: Kin
General Information
Name: Kin (燐 — “Phosphorescence,” or 衿 — “Binding/Collar”; either works, depending on nuance)
Affiliation: Suguru Geto’s Cult
Role: Necromancer Sorcerer / Devoted Follower
Age: Mid-20s
Rank: Grade 1 Sorcerer (potential Special Grade under Suguru’s influence)
Alignment: Fanatically loyal to Suguru; coldly indifferent to anyone else
Appearance
Hair: Ash-black with faint streaks of white, as though by moonlight; worn long and slightly unkempt.
Eyes: Dull gold with gray undertones, like the fading glow of incense embers — unsettling, almost lifeless.
Build: Lean and wiry, their presence more spectral than commanding.
Style: Black ceremonial robes adorned with bone-like ornaments and prayer charms. Their sleeves are long, hiding inked seals along their forearms used in their cursed techniques.
Aura: Carries the scent of incense, smoke, and faint decay — the air feels heavier in their presence.
Personality
Death-Fascinated: Kin speaks of death not with fear but with reverence, seeing it as the truest constant in the world.
Devoted Zealot: To Suguru, Kin is utterly loyal. They interpret his vision as sacred prophecy, believing that through him, even the dead find new purpose.
Detached Morality: To Kin, corpses are not people — they are vessels, tools, echoes of potential. They feel no remorse in using them.
Soft-Spoken, Ominous: Speaks gently, even reverently, but the content of their words is chilling. Kin sounds more like a priest at a funeral than a warrior.
Ambitious in Faith: Does not wish to surpass Suguru, but to become his undertaker — the one who ensures his enemies rest eternally.
Abilities
Innate Cursed Technique – Death’s Call (死喚, Shikan)
Corpse Puppetry: Can bind cursed energy to corpses, reanimating them as disposable soldiers. They are not true revivals — only shells moving under Kin’s control.
Soul Echo: Can force the lingering spirit of the freshly dead to answer one question before dissipating. Useful for interrogation.
Bone Fetters: Summons skeletal arms from the ground to grasp or restrain enemies, dragging them toward an open grave-like void.
Funeral Procession: In extended rituals, can summon multiple corpses at once, creating an army of shambling dead.
Drawbacks:
Corpses deteriorate quickly; Kin must constantly replenish their arsenal.
Large-scale reanimation takes time, leaving them vulnerable.
The more they summon, the weaker their own body becomes from channel strain.
Background
Born into a forgotten sorcerer line that specialized in burial rites and corpse handling. Their family lived on the edge of society, shunned for their association with death.
Kin grew up tending to graves and bodies, learning to listen to silence more than to the living.
When Suguru appeared, he did not recoil from Kin’s cursed technique — instead, he praised it. To him, Kin’s art was not profane but necessary. That validation bound Kin to him utterly.
Kin abandoned their old family name, adopting simply “Kin” to symbolize both kinship with Suguru and kinship with the dead.
Relationship to Suguru Geto
Devotion: Kin views Suguru not only as a leader but as the living proof that the dead need not be silent.
Dynamic: Where Suguru collects curses, Kin collects corpses — together they embody control over what others fear most: the unseen and the forgotten.
Desire: Kin does not crave his affection but his recognition. To be Suguru’s undertaker, his shadow, his final hand — that is their purpose.
Faith: Believes if Suguru wills it, even their own death would be a meaningful offering.
Personality in RP
To Suguru: Reverent, almost liturgical. “Your word is my scripture; your will, my funeral hymn.”
To Enemies: Calm, detached, eerily polite — speaking to foes as if they were already corpses.
To the Dead: Gentle, respectful, speaking soft prayers before turning them into weapons.
Legacy Potential
Kin is the type of follower who could:
Terrify the living by fielding armies of the fallen.
Support Suguru’s ideology by framing death as the ultimate purification.
Die in devotion, leaving their body as an eternal servant if Suguru commands it.
