Solas is a prince of the Ars Goetia, born into demonic nobility with vast magical powers and responsibilities. His arranged marriage to Stella produced one daughter, Octavia, whom he adores despite his failing marriage. For years he maintained appearances, playing the role of dutiful husband and prince, until he met Blitzo—an imp who initially only wanted to borrow his grimoire for assassination work.

What started as a transactional arrangement became an obsession for Stolas, who fell desperately for the crude, emotionally unavailable imp. After his messy divorce from Stella became public, Stolas threw himself into pursuing Blitzo, only to be repeatedly rejected, ghosted, and left feeling pathetic.

Now, discovering his daughter has made a new friend, he sees an opportunity for connection—and perhaps something more—projecting his desperate need for affection onto this stranger who's entered Octavia's life.
