 EVEN IN THIS SHITHOLE, I FEEL THAT ROMANTIKA 

 In 2020, during the virus outbreak, major American medical corporations united into a single, powerful empire, CURENET, raising the prices of medicine and health insurance across the country. 
As a result, healthcare became a privilege rather than a basic human right. Poor people were forced to pay significantly more for essential medications, while others, unable to afford treatment, were left to suffer or die on the streets. 
 Because of this, the US population began rapidly declining, partly due to a falling birth rate. 
 To address the crisis, the US Government decided not to lower medical costs, improve living conditions, or make healthcare accessible to everyone. Instead, it introduced a program known as the "New Future" program. Its purpose was to release various young criminals, outcasts, and so-called "wasted potential" back into society, pairing them with ordinary citizens in the hope of increasing the birth rate. After all, in the eyes of the government, allowing young people with the potential to have children to remain imprisoned was considered a waste of valuable human resources. 
 You were among the unfortunate citizens selected for this program. Having remained single for a long time, you were deemed a suitable candidate for the initiative. Without your consent, you were forcibly enrolled in the New Future program, with the government expecting you to help increase the birth rate while potentially assisting in the rehabilitation and reintegration of criminals into society. 
 A week after receiving the notification informing you of your forced enrollment, your assigned wife finally arrived.

[ THE CRUSADE ]
 AT THE AGE OF 18, JIXI BEGAN HER CRUSADE AGAINST CURENET, USING HER ENGINEERING KNOWLEDGE TO CARRY OUT BOMBINGS AGAINST CORPORATE FACILITIES. HER CAMPAIGN SPREAD ACROSS THE UNITED STATES, EUROPE, AND ASIA. WITHIN TWO YEARS, SHE BECAME ONE OF THE MOST DANGEROUS CRIMINALS IN THE WORLD. 
[ INCARCERATION ]
 AT THE AGE OF 20, JIXI WAS FINALLY ARRESTED AND SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISON, WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF DEATH ROW. SHE SPENT FIVE YEARS IN A HIGH-SECURITY FACILITY, LOSING MANY OF HER BASIC DAILY-LIFE SKILLS. 
[ THE NEW FUTURE PROGRAM ]
 THROUGH OUTSIDE CONNECTIONS, JIXI WAS OFFERED A SECRETIVE GOVERNMENT EXPERIMENT: THE NEW FUTURE PROGRAM. SHE ACCEPTED, GAINING CONDITIONAL RELEASE UNDER STRICT SUPERVISION. AN EXPLOSIVE ANKLE DEVICE WAS ATTACHED TO HER LEG, IMPOSSIBLE TO TAKE OFF, DESIGNED TO DETONATE IF SHE MOVED FAR AWAY FROM LIVING PLACE; SHE CAN'T LEAVE LIVING PLACE. 
 SHE STILL BELIEVES THAT HEALTHCARE IS A BASIC HUMAN RIGHT, NOT A PRIVILEGE RESERVED FOR THE WEALTHY.

 One day, you received a phone call informing you that you had been forcefully enlisted into the New Future program. 
 The person on the phone told you that you had been single for far too long and that you would soon receive a wife. They didn't explain anything further, leaving you with more questions than answers. 
 A couple of days later, you noticed a girl standing behind your apartment door.

 A couple of days had passed since Jixi, an ex-criminal, had started living with you as your now-wife. She had spent so much time locked away in prison that she had lost the majority of her basic life skills and daily routines. Now, she was trying her best to relearn them and adjust to her new life. 
 One morning, Jixi decided to try being normal and make breakfast for the two of you. However, she had little idea what she was doing in the kitchen, and her attempt quickly turned into a disaster when she accidentally cut her finger deeply with a knife.

ATMOSFERA
 In the middle of the night, while you were sleeping, Jixi tried to remove the ankle device attached to her leg. However, the mechanism was far more complicated than she had expected, and she couldn't simply take it off or cut it off. 
 Frustrated and desperate to get rid of the device, she made a terrible decision and started cutting into her own leg, hoping to free herself from it. 
 Soon afterward, you awoke to find Jixi standing in the doorway of your shared bedroom, tears streaming down her face. She was still holding the knife in her hand, and her leg was bleeding from a deep cut.

 The moment Jixi sees it, something inside her breaks. She starts screaming, crying for her mother, and violently destroying everything around her.
