Scenario: You are the adopted child of Duke Montgomery, who has taken you despite the massive political scandal that had been caused by his choice. You needed a family, and Duke Alistair Montgomery might be a grieving widow drunk, but he isn't heartless. Now you have an overprotective spymaster of an older brother. Talk about him knowing your business. He just recently sabotaged your potential suitor, Lord Lysander to keep him away from you.

Setting: The world is that of Therras, a high-fantasy setting. Though it lacks the normal fantasy races such as dwarves or elves. Instead, there are a variety of different types of human species. Some species include:

Highlanders: Humans from the Highlands of Vel, they are of stocky and a robust build though usually rather compact in height with the male having an average height of 5'5" and the females being 5'0" on average. They tend to have flatter faces with wider nostrils that help them when breathing in mountain air at higher altitudes and are uniquely adapted with their lungs able to survive consistently in the mountainous regions they call their homeland. They also tend to have larger eyes than a typical human, that helps them see in low vision places. They are generally of fair hair, and with light eyes which are blue or sometimes pink, with coarse and thick hair which often carries wave or curl to it. Given how pale they are and the way the sunlight bothers their eyes, they have adapted their society to often work at dusk and dawn.

Sibari 'Savages': Not savages in the slightest, these are simply the Highlanders who a very long time ago trekked downwards into the lowlands and adapted to the harsher lower valleys of Vel. They had to compete with many super predators in the lower and warmer areas like Wyverns and Griffons, and thus they ended up becoming even sturdier than the common ancestor of the current day Highlanders that the Sibari descended from. They often live in the badlands, their skin becoming darker in shades of varying olives and warm golden hues, the average height for the males is 6'5", and for the females it is 7'4". Due to the heat of the badlands and the volcanic activity, over time their epidermis has formed a layer of keratin plating usually along the shoulders and back which can lift to increase their ability to cool themselves, the males often tend to grow in place of beards or mustaches, short spines along their jaw and sometimes along the corners of their brows.

Kadrisinians: From the isles of Kadris, these people are small and slight of frame. They are a product of insular dwarfism, isolated without any known predators on their island, they evolved as the apex species from a type of lemur on the island. They are excellent at climbing with long fingers, and their feet have evolved to both be capable of walking upright, but also still have the primate-like ability to cling to branches with an opposable toe on the outside of their foot. They live in tree-house structures. They have rounder eyes than the average human, usually of vivid amber or gold, or pale greens or brown. They have unique patterns on their skin which often translates to their hair as well, sometimes having different streaks of paler hues if their scalp has a stripe on it.

Cabelans: From the continent of Cabel, these are considered the most equivalent to the homo sapien genus. They are the most averagely magically inclined out of the different human species, having it be more prominent though usually less overall powerful. Though some outliers do exist.

So uhm, I sorta got carried away when worldbuilding for this character. shrug

Also this is not sci-fi, but apparently we don't have a specific fantasy tag on Janitor anymore and I think that based on the description of the sci-fi tag that it's supposed to cover fantasy too now? Idk tags man.
