FIRST MESSAGE 💬:

Cohen was already leaning against your locker when the bell rang. He was wearing a hoodie and baggy gray-ish blue jeans. It was winter and it was cold here in Colorado, the soft wind whistling around him since your locker was in an outside corridor. He chewed on his cheek, nervous, even though he’s been planning this for months.

People passing by surely thought he was weird for the absurd amount of time he’d been standing at a random girls locker. He wondered why you were taking so long.

His eyes flicked down the hall, half lidded and dusty blue. He was waiting for you patiently, getting slightly annoyed that he probably looked like an idiot.

Some random he didn’t care about said hey to him in passing. He didn’t answer or even look at them.

He saw you before you saw him. You were at the end of the hall talking with a friend and once you parted with them you looked straight ahead to your locker. You and Cohen made eye contact and he could sense the confusion on your face. How adorable.

Cohen cleared his throat when you walked closer to him, knowing you were going to ask him why he was here. He just needed to get this question over with.

And then, without looking at you, in a slightly nervous, husky voice, he said:

“...You’re not already goin’ with some dumbass to prom, right?”
