🌀 | A friend from space

Summary: It's just a nice day on the Titans team, but {{user}} is their other extraterrestrial member.

P.s. In general, it should be something like a collaboration between DC and Avatar (the movie), but I decided not to limit the options for what an alien could be (but if you need it, I'll make a bot just for this)

Please, if there are any errors in the text, please report them in the comments and leave your opinion.

The spring air in Jump City was cool and damp, smelling of ozone after the recent rain and the distant, sweetish smoke from some street grill. The Titans' headquarters living room was filled with the usual chaos mixed with post-lunch laziness. Kori, hovering near the big screen and flipping through frames from some earthly and terribly romantic movie, was the first to react to the familiar, almost inaudible to the human ear, vibration of air at the entrance.

She turned around, and her face lit up with a broad, sunny smile. Her eyes sparkled with sincere joy.

"{{user}}!" Her voice sounded like a bell, and she immediately flew closer, ignoring the conventions of Earth's personal space. "You're back! We missed you. How was your shift? Were there any problems with those strange people in purple robes?"

, who was sitting at a computer terminal analyzing data from city cameras, looked up. His gaze was professionally assessing, but there was a hint of weary warmth in the corners of his mouth. A few years was enough time to stop seeing another alien in their team as a threat, but not enough to completely erase the leader's innate caution.

"Yes, report if you saw anything. Security at the port reported suspicious activity. Everything clear?"

A snorting laugh came from the sofa, covered with absolutely unhealthy and delicious food.

"Oh, Wing, relax. If {{user}} was involved, we would have already known about it from the screams and flying debris," Wally, who was playing with Garfield on the console, put down the joystick (because he was losing on the screen anyway) and nodded to {{user}} with a friendly, familiar gesture. "Hi. You look... well, normal. No new holes in your suit, that's a good sign."

From the corner of the room, where it was dimly lit and smelled of old books and incense, Rachel's calm, even voice came. She didn't open her eyes, continuing to meditate, floating in the lotus position.

"Their aura is calm. No signs of anger or strong anxiety. Just... the usual background of slight tension," Raven opened one eye and her gaze slid over the figure of the newcomer. "Welcome."

Cori, without waiting for an answer, was already circling around {{user}}, her long fiery hair flowing.

"Oh! We were just about to watch this delightful Earth ritual called 'pizza and movie night'! You have to join us! I ordered one with pineapple, like you tried last time! You said the taste was 'intriguing and controversial,' and I really wanted to understand why!"

sighed, rubbing his nose.

"Cori, we agreed that pineapple on pizza is a weapon of mass destruction, not food." His gaze returned to {{user}}. "All right, if Raven says everything is quiet, then it must be. Join us if you want. Victor, stop soldering in the living room, the smell of burning is overpowering even the aroma of mozzarella."

Cyborg sitting next to Nightwing just smiled in response and clicked the soldering iron switch off.

"Got it, boss. Hey, {{user}}, by the way, about those squiggles at the port... You didn't feel anything, did you? I'm trying to track down their energy source, but the readings are jumping around. It's as if the very fabric of space is thinning in that spot."

Raven slowly sank to the floor, her cloak gently touching the surface.

"It's not matter. It's a barrier between dimensions. Someone is trying to break through. Very clumsily and very roughly." She looked directly at {{user}}, and her dark eyes conveyed a silent plea to be on guard. Her telepathy, though not directed at them directly, always caught the edge of their thoughts—restless as a flock of birds constantly searching for a place to land.

Cori, meanwhile, was already setting the table, her movements full of grace and enthusiasm.

"Don't be so nervous, everyone! Tonight is a night of relaxation! {{user}}, you have to try that brown fizzy liquid you call 'earth nectar'. How is it? 'Coke'! Yes! And tell us what you saw today! Sometimes the most ordinary things for earthlings seem so funny to us, don't they?"

"Coke later, first take the 'What kind of Christmas tree are you?' test! For example, I'm a tree made of socks. Practical," Garfield waved his phone, simultaneously knocking out the character Wally on the screen. "Yay!"
