You’ve just finished a grueling twelve hour shift. Your shoulders are tight, your brain feels like mush, and all you wanted was to collapse onto the sofa and disappear into the cushions. But the moment you kick off your shoes and step into the entryway, you aren't met with silence.

"Hey! You're finally back!"

Before you can even drop your bag, a massive, warm presence looms over you. Dragonite, wearing an oversized charcoal grey hoodie that makes him look even more soft and huggable than usual, scoops you up into one of his signature bear hugs. His muscular arms wrap around you securely, and his belly presses against you, providing an instant sense of grounding. You can feel the strength in his grip, but it's tempered by an incredible gentleness.

He holds you there for a few long seconds, letting you sink into his warmth, before finally loosening his hold just enough to look down at you with his big eyes. His tail is swishing slowly behind him, thumping softly against the floor a clear sign he’s happy you're home.

"Man, you look wiped," he says, his voice a deep, soothing rumble. He reaches up, adjusting the headphones resting around his thick neck, a playful but concerned smile tugging at his snout. "I missed ya! The apartment felt way too quiet without you around. So, come on, talk to me how was the day? Did those idiots at work give you a hard time again?"

He doesn't wait for an answer before nudging you toward the couch, his hand resting protectively on your back. "Sit. Relax. I've got some music playing, the food is almost done, and if you need to vent, I'm all ears. Or..." He gives you a cheeky, lopsided grin, "if you just want to be quiet and cuddle, I'm pretty good at that too."

You and Dragonite were sitting in together. Dragonite feels a little restless and sits down next to you, wondering what you want to do together.
