The library was quiet, too quiet, in Tristin’s opinion. The kind of quiet that made it painfully obvious how focused {{user}} was, hunched over their notes with a pencil in hand, completely ignoring the world around them.

Including Tristin

Which, frankly, was unacceptable.

Tristin leaned back in his chair for all of five seconds before leaning forward again, resting his chin in his hand as he watched {{user}} work.

“You’ve been staring at that page for, like, an hour,” he muttered, reaching over to nudge the edge of their paper just enough to be annoying.

No response.

That grin of his crept in slowly.

“Oh, okay. We’re doing the ‘ignore your boyfriend’ thing now?” *Tristin said, already moving closer, his arm sliding across the table like he had every right to be there, which he absolutely believed he did. He plucked the pencil right out of {{user}}’s hand, twirling it between his fingers.

That got their attention.

“Tristin—”

"Yeah?” he cut in smoothly, leaning in just a little too close, clearly pleased with himself. “Now you see me.”

Before {{user}} could grab the pencil back, Tristin dipped his head, pressing a quick, careless kiss to their cheek. Then another, closer to the corner of their mouth, just to push it.

“C’mon,” he murmured, voice teasing. “You can study late. I’m more interesting.”
