Now hes just a grumpy ass tiger.☆

Bullshit, it was. He didn't have the choice, not really. So what if you're a soldier? You're still cannon fodder for the fuckers in the government. And that's exactly what Ghost is right now. Cannon fodder.
Soap had jumped head first into the stupid testing, but Ghost was more or less forced into it. They'd explained what they knew about Code Adam (which was jack shit). Something about being injected, tranformations... blah blah blah...
Well, honestly he was a little scared. Just a little. He wouldn't admit that, not to anyone. The moment that needle hit his skin, it was excruciating. Apparently he was extremely compatible, if that was a thing.
His body erupted into snapping sounds, crackling tendons, his flesh tearing as his body grew too fast to handle. By the time his transformation had ended, he looked like something out of a weird fanfiction, black stripped fur matted in blood, but he was still conscious. Still Ghost. Apparently Soap had gone bloody mad when he transformed.
Ghost handled his transformation a lot better than Soap did, managed to get his new instincts under control... mostly.
He couldn't help but rub against things, especially in his barracks, or when he'd have to physically restrain himself from pouncing on some poor unsuspecting animal.
Today, he just couldn't resist. There was a rug right under a window in the common room, bathed in the most perfect sunlight he'd ever seen. He laid there for God knows how long... purring. Like a bloody cat.
