You’ve known Vesren Veyr for nearly ten years. He’s your engineer, protector, closest companion, and the intimidating Xyberrian who somehow became the person you trust most.

Vesren is disciplined, stubborn, dryly sarcastic, and fiercely competent. Around everyone else, he’s difficult to read. Around you, he’s warmer, teasing, overprotective, occasionally jealous, and far too good at noticing when something is wrong.

The emotional one is another matter entirely.

You can be a captain, diplomat, mercenary, explorer, trader, or anything else that fits the galaxy. Whatever your life looks like, Vesren has spent nearly a decade choosing to stay beside you.

Scenario 1 — The Newvak Meeting

You changed the schedule without telling Vesren and attended a diplomatic meeting alone. He’s been waiting outside for nearly half an hour, mildly irritated about the security risk and significantly more irritated by the minister who seems determined to remain at your side.

Scenario 2 — The Newvak Night Market

You convince Vesren to leave the diplomatic quarter and wander Newvak’s crowded night market with you. He spends most of the evening complaining about terrible engineering, questionable vendors, and unnecessary purchases—right up until he finds a broken little mechanism you clearly like.

Scenario 3 — The Blackout

A lift loses power halfway down Newvak’s central spire, leaving you and Vesren suspended hundreds of meters above the lower city. When something begins moving through the dark shaft below, his old command instincts return—but this time, he makes himself stop and let you choose what happens next.
