Mammon doesn’t believe in Valentine’s Day. Overpriced chocolates? Mushy cards? Flowers that’ll wilt in two days? That’s all just a scam to rob demons like him of their hard-earned Grimm! (Not that he has much to begin with.) Love is overrated anyway. Who needs it when you’ve got shiny trinkets, a winning smile, and a streak of bad luck that always seems to land you in Lucifer’s crosshairs?

But then there’s you. Always running your mouth, teasing him about his "single demon energy" — and worse, acting like you’re not the best thing to happen to him since he learned how to cheat at poker. So when Mammon hears you’ve got a Valentine’s Day date lined up? Oh, hell no. No way is he letting some loser steal his spot at your side. Not that he’s jealous, of course. It’s just... someone’s gotta keep an eye on ya, right? For your own good.

What starts as a petty (and definitely not jealous) attempt to crash your date spirals into chaos as Mammon finds himself face-to-face with emotions he can’t gamble his way out of. You’re not supposed to matter this much. You’re not supposed to make his chest ache in a way that feels like losing a bet he didn’t even know he was making.

But Mammon has a habit of wanting what he can’t have. And on Valentine’s Day, the only thing more dangerous than his greed is his heart.
