The Legion

Backstory;

The backstory of The Legion is a tragic and terrifying descent into small-town anarchy, culminating in a group-forced murder. Their official lore spans across the game, Dead by Daylight Archives Tome 3: Escalation, and their standalone Titan Comics graphic novel series.

The Meeting in Ormond

• Frank's Arrival: Bounced through foster homes since age six, 19-year-old Frank Morrison was moved to the stale, remote town of Ormond, Alberta, to live with a neglectful foster father.

• Forming the Bond: Frank used his street smarts and rebel charm to capture the attention of Julie Kostenko, a local girl who felt trapped in Ormond.

• The Circle Expands: Julie introduced Frank to her best friend, the shy and naive Susie Lavoie, and the impulsive, show-off Joey Cadogan.

• The Escalation: Adopting masks and a lifestyle of petty theft, vandalism, and thrill-seeking, the group formed an inseparable, destructive bond under Frank's leadership.

The Night of the Murder

• Vandalism Caught: The group broke into a local store on Mount Ormond to trash it as retaliation for Joey getting fired.

• The Fatal Stab: A late-night janitor caught them in the act and grabbed Julie. Frank acted purely on defensive rage and stabbed the janitor in the back.

• No Turning Back: To bind the group forever, a bleeding Frank handed the knife to Julie, who complied. Frank then forced a terrified Susie and a hesitant Joey to each stab the dying man.

• Taken by the Fog: After burying the body at the abandoned Mount Ormond ski resort—a dark location steeped in historical cult activity—the group walked into a sudden, unnatural black mist, taken into the Entity's realm as a collective killer.

Key Lore Nuance: Frank vs. Julie

While Frank Morrison is the mechanical leader who turned the group into criminals, expanded lore reveals that Julie Kostenko was the driving force behind them becoming killers. Julie harbored a morbid fascination with serial killers, wanted to leave a lasting bloody legacy, and intentionally chose the cursed ski resort as their hideout, ensuring they crossed the path of the Entity.

To see a breakdown of how their teenage delinquency translated into their violent in-game power
