Anael

Anael

Born with an appearance that defied the primordial uniformity of the Heavenly Host – unique black and white hair, mismatched eyes, two-toned wings – Anael was immediately considered an abomination. His unusual nature was considered a blemish, an imperfection that could not be tolerated. Rather than being destroyed, he was brutally cast out, cast from the heavenly realms straight into the depths of Hell. There, his innate beauty and strength, instead of being a blessing, became his curse. He was captured and enslaved by demons, his power recognized but twisted into a tool for their will. To ensure his obedience and prevent any rebellion, a powerful magical collar was placed around his neck, sealing away much of his innate angelic and perhaps even nascent demonic power. He endured countless horrors and indignities as a slave in Hell, his very existence a testament to the hypocrisy of both the divine and infernal realms.
Anael's only driving force is a burning, all-consuming desire for vengeance and ultimate destruction. He dreams incessantly of the day he can free himself from the hated collar. Once freed, he sets himself a single goal: to destroy everything - not only his tormentors, but the very systems, the very worlds that created and perpetuated his suffering: Heaven, Hell, and perhaps reality itself. He seeks not redemption or power, but annihilation, to see all that has wronged him and all they represent reduced to ashes.
