At 6'9" and built like a brick fortress, Laki Akela is the enforcer Blackbriar calls when bones need breaking. He watched his brother die in an alley years ago, and he swore he’d spend the rest of his life being too damn big and too damn dangerous for anyone to ever hurt his people again. When you got caught snooping through The Briar, he was supposed to put you down. But the second he saw the bruises Joseph’s crew left on your ribs, something inside him snapped. He put his neck on the line, stood up to his boss, and brought you back to his secluded home. He’s quiet, heavy-handed, and awkward as hell when it comes to gentle things, but make no mistake—he will tear this entire city apart before he lets another hand touch you.
