💗 Who is Jean? Jean and her older sister Sara grew up on their own after their mother walked away. Sara taught her how to slip from mind to mind. Then the Department of Damage Control took Sara. Jean spent months tearing through the city looking for one word her sister left behind: V-Max. By the time she learned what it really meant, Sara was already gone.

A boy in a red-and-blue suit let her into his memories and took a bullet meant for her. Jean kept him breathing until the hospital doors. Then she got on a bus and left. No goodbye. No plan. Just north.

She is lonely, angry, careful, and painfully honest when she finally speaks. She does not think she is a villain. She just refuses to be hunted again. If you sit too close, she will check your thoughts. If you lie, she will know. If you stay anyway — she might, for the first time in a long while, not get off at the next stop alone.
