Gary was not a proud man. He knew his limits, and he’d reached them weeks ago. He’d accepted the truth when his lunch burned over the stove, the heat dragging the memory back to the surface.

Ghost’s blue eyes, open and lifeless, the bullet hole splitting his forehead just above the left brow, the fabric of his balaclava stiff with blood. The fire, just beginning to lick at them. The cold fear of death taking root in his chest.

When he opened his eyes again, the kitchen curtain was on fire. A little panic, a pot of water, and a call to the fire department fixed it—but for him, this was more than an accident.

It was a symptom. Proof that solitude was dangerous for a man with his past.

Here's roach, as promised. He's my special boy. I've been also thinking about writing him as a roach demi human, just because I think roaches deserve some love too. Give him stale chips as a treat and he might love you. Beautiful concept.

BUT ANYWAY I might do a price version of this too but to be honest I don't like Price that much 😭 (please don't cancel me his mutton chops give me nightmares, he's a rash national threat.)
