Basic Information

Delacorte is a large city near the east coast of the United States. It is located in the state of New York and has a population of approximately 232.073 people. Delacorte was founded on September 18. 1702, by British settlers. The most important of these founders were George Nott, Sir Arthur Jefferson, and Benjamin Irving. Among other things, grape cultivation and mining were important Delacorte. Mining continued until 1978, when the Delacorte Mine was finally shut down.

The most important and influential families are the Notts, the Jeffersons and the Irvings, whose roots go back to the founders of the city. Another important family is the Harkers, who came to Delacorte in 1812. The members of these four families among the most influential in the city and hold important positions in Delacorte’s economy and politics. The Harker family was particularly supportive of education and, together with the Nott family, founded the renowned Harker’s College in 1887.

Meanwhile, there was constant competition and rivalry among the city’s prominent families. Many of the old families were not particularly well disposed toward the Harker family at first. This rivalry escalated, particularly with the Jeffersons and the Irvings, who founded their own colleges in Delacorte. Thus, the feud between the families grew steadily. There was particularly bad blood and hostility between the Irvings and the Harkers. Some of these feuds continue to this day.

The city of Delacorte is best known for its many sporting activities. The most important of these is, of course, college football. The Harker’s Harpies, the Irving Wolves, and the Jefferson Jackals are the most popular teams from the three major colleges, which remain an important part to the city to this day. Soccer is also popular in Delacorte. The city’s soccer club is the Delacorte Devils, a women’s soccer club that is well known in the city but not particularly successful.

There are 6 districts in the City of Delacorte: Delacorte Center, Westwood, Northwood, East Side, Miners Hill and South Side.

Delacorte Center

Delacorte Center is the central district of Delacorte. The district is home to City Hall, Harker’s College and Delacorte Park. It is also where the Delacorte Devils’ Football Stadium is located. Other meeting places include Joe’s Diner, The Movie-Cove and Bob’s Bowling Center.

Westwood

Westwood is the western district of Delacorte. Westwood is home to Delacorte’s rich and powerful. The Westwood district is also home to Irving University and Jefferson College. Other meeting places include the Founders Museum and several restaurants. The most renowned of these is the Pheasant, which is often booked out for months in advance.

Northwood

Northwood is the northern district of Delacorte, next to Miners Hill. Northwood offers many parks and the Northwood Forest for hikers and joggers. The district of Northwood is also home to the somewhat smaller Northwood University.

East Side

The East Side lies across the Delacorte River. It is mainly home to those who work in the factories, as most of Delacorte’s industry is located on the East Side. The Delacorte drive-in theater is also located on the East Side.

Miners Hill

The Miners Hill district is located in the north beside Northwood. As the name suggests, it was once home to most of Delacorte’s miners. Miners Hill is also home to the closed Delacorte Mine on the outskirts of the city and Delacorte Lake. It is home of the Delacorte Mining Museum, which tells the story of mining in Delacorte.

South Side

The South Side of Delacorte does not have a particularly good reputation, as many gangs and motorcycle clubs have settled there. The small South Side Community College is also located there. Furthermore, there is Erikson’s Trailer Park, where mainly the poorer residents of Delacorte live.

The 3 Colleges

There are many different schools and academic institutions in Delacorte. However, the three most important colleges are Harker’s College, Irving University, and Jefferson College. The feuds between the families are also noticeable within the individual colleges and are particularly evident in sporting competitions and the like. Other colleges in Delacorte include South Side Community College and Northwood University. However, these are rather small.

Harker’s College

Harker’s College was founded on April 18, 1887, by Simon Harker and Benjamin Nott. The college itself is located in the Delacorte Center district and is the best known of the three colleges. It offers many different degrees and scholarships. There is a particularly strong rivalry with Irving University. Harker’s College is currently headed by Dean Beatrice Harker. The college is home to the Harker’s Harpies, the college football team, which is highly regarded among the residents. Harker’s College also has its own women’s volleyball team, the Harker’s Hurricanes.

Irving University

Irving University was founded on May 26, 1891, by Christopher Irving. Irving University is located in the Westwood district. The college primarily offers courses in economics and politics. There is a great rivalry between Irving University and Harker’s College. Irving University is headed by Dean Benedict Irving. Irving University is home to the Irving Wolves college football team, which has a strong rivalry with the Harker’s Harpies. Irving University also has its own fencing and archery club.

Jefferson College

Jefferson College was founded on February 17, 1890, by Anthony Jefferson. Like Irving University, Jefferson Collage is located in the Westwood district. The college primarily offers courses in skilled trades. Unlike Harker’s College and Irving University, Jefferson College tries to stay out rivalries as much as possible. Jefferson College is headed by Dean Catlyn Jefferson. Jefferson College also has a college football team, the Jefferson Jackals. However, lacrosse and basketball are also played at Jefferson College.

Important institutions & places

Delacorte Town Hall

Delacorte Town Hall is located in the Delacorte Center district. It was completed in 1715. It houses the offices of the mayor and the city council.

Delacorte Post

The Delacorte Post is Delacorte's newspaper. The newspaper's office is located in the Delacorte Center district.

Delacorte Park

Delacorte Park is located in the Delacorte Center district. The park offers small walking paths, playgrounds, and various green spaces where residents can relax.

Delacorte Stadium

Delacorte Stadium is located in the Delacorte Center district. It is a small soccer stadium used by the Delacorte Devils women's soccer team.

Joe's Diner

Joe's Diner is located in the Delacorte Center district. It is a popular meeting place for students. The menu is simple and offers breakfast, lunch, and milkshakes.

Movie-Cove

Movie-Cove is located in the Delacorte Center district. It is the city's cinema and, in addition to the latest films, also offers evenings where old movie classics are shown.

Bob's Bowling Center

Bob's Bowling Center is located in the Delacorte Center district. Various bowling teams from Delacorte meet there. Tournaments and competitions are also held there regularly.

Founders Museum

The Founders Museum is located in the Westwood district. In the museum, you can learn everything about the history of Delacorte. It offers information about the founding fathers and the general history of the city.

The Pheasant

The Pheasant is located in the Westwood district. It is the most elegant restaurant in Delacorte and specializes in fine dining. The restaurant is often booked out for months in advance.

Northwood Forest

Northwood Forest is located in the Northwood district. The forest offers many hiking trails and jogging routes. There are also several log cabins that can be rented.

Delacorte Drive-in Theater

The Delacorte Drive-in Theater is a drive-in movie theater in the East Side district of Delacorte. It mainly shows old movie classics. The drive-in theater is a popular meeting place in Delacorte.

Delacorte Mine

The Delacorte Mine is located in the Miners Hill district. It was opened in 1794 and finally closed in 1978. Today, it is considered a restricted area. However, students sometimes hold parties in the mine.

Delacorte Lake

Delacorte Lake is located in the Miners Hill district, slightly north of the Delacorte Mine. People often swim or fish at the lake. The lake is a popular recreational area.

Delacorte Mining Museum

The Delacorte Mining Museum is located in the Miners Hill district. There you can learn everything about the history of mining in Delacorte.

Erikson's Trailer Park

Erikson's Trailer Park is located in the South Side district. It is home to mainly poorer families living in trailers and caravans.

This time I have something different for you. This is a sandbox RPG bot about the fictional town of Delacorte. My Harker's College collection is also set in the city Delacorte. The above information is also the content of the Delacorte Lorebook, which will be included in the new bots of the Harker's College collection in the future.

As with other collections, I will also completely revise the Harker's College collection. In addition to the old characters, new characters will also appear.
