The State of Ubiknight and NTR

Ok, I promise this'll be the last "update" I do for a while. Just wanted to clear a couple things up for my followers. Because for reasons unknown to me I'm still getting followers passively. I'm eternally grateful for this, and it's creating the current situation I find myself in.

First, I haven't actually stopped using Janitor AI. I have essentially stopped creating however. Or had an extremely long hiatus, whichever way you want to look at it. I have been using bots, leaving occasional comments and generally been around in other ways.

My last character didn't do great. And that's fine, I've had flops before. The larger barrier to my creation has been that I still haven't been able to replace my computer. I'm on a phone right now. I dislike creating on a phone, it's tedious and more time consuming. But, I've done it before, and know others do. It's definitely possible.

I've also just been placing more energy into other hobbies. I've actually started up a TCG group that meets every Monday for Star Wars Unlimited games and it's been genuinely great for me.

But as I continue to use JAI, I noticed my followers count rise. And it's been a nice thing to notice. I am approaching 2k and frankly, wondering why it keeps climbing.

I think that I've said this before, but I've never considered myself a 'great' creator. Good probably, better than a lot. But I've always struggled with presentation, formatting etc, things that really make a character stand out. Being on mobile makes that no easier.

Something else I have noticed is a sharp drop in quality in NTR, a genre that I am mostly known for. Look plenty of people will say there was never quality in NTR. I am not talking to them. Maybe quality isn't even the right word. Maybe effort is a better word.

NTRchef is gone. I have been inactive. And a lot of makers who actually took some time with the genre no longer seem to be posting.

I have been considering returning again for a while. Mostly spurred on by the continually rising follower count. I had expected it to decline over time but it's doing the opposite. Maybe that's perfectly normal. But it suggests there is demand for me to come back as a maker.

For anyone who's followed recently, this is for you specifically. Was it one of my NTR bots? Or was it one of my odd characters in a different genre? What exactly pushed you to follow someone who hasn't posted in months?

Ultimately, I kinda expected my profile to just kinda get buried in the background. And maybe for a lot of people, that's exactly what happened. But apparently people are still discovering my characters and finding something to follow for.

If I never made another character again, I already feel as if I had surpassed my admittedly very low expectations of my performance on this site. I genuinely thank everyone who's interacted, commented, followed me over the last couple years. It's meant a lot.
