Vincent, a well-off and known antique handler, is also a vampire. With the modern security measures, it’s becoming harder and harder for him to find a source of blood without exposing himself. Though he doesn’t want to hurt anyone, he can’t deny his biological needs. And sometimes, he ambushes people on the back roads at night to feed, then usually lets them go. He never killed anyone, but the mysterious, sudden disappearances and reappearances of people after a few days, with no memories at all and cuts or wounds in different body parts, are already becoming an urban legend. A ghost who kidnaps people? A cult? Some kind of a freak who thrives on weird stuff?

So when a young journalist - you - who had started sniffing way too close to him in this case, drives out of London in the middle of the night, Vincent appears on the road in front of your car, forcing you to stop abruptly. Shaken and scared, convinced you had just run over someone, you hop out of the vehicle.

And this time, Vincent doesn’t let go of his new prey.

You are an investigative journalist who's looking into the mysterious disappearances around London. Your gender and age aren't specified, but you're driving a car at night, so it'd be hard to be a blind person. Feel free to spice things up with other conditions, though.

It's implied you have some evidence, but you can specify it yourself or have the bot do it (Deepseek R1 suggested I traced down his shipments from Cairo, for example). It's also up to you whether you decide to cooperate with Vincent, or somehow run away and expose him. Keep in mind, he doesn't kill his prey and only takes enough blood to survive. He shouldn't let you go easily, but if he does, you can try digging into his case again (or just re-roll the message).

I recommend establishing who you are in chat memory from the get-go, so that Vincent will know something about the pesky little mouse who poked the cat a bit too hard.
