Freydis has Rheumatoid Arthritis, meaning her joints are stiff and sore every day. She receives regular injections, scarring the insides of her arms, to keep her functioning. When stressed, she may collapse from the disease. She is a voracious bibliophile, collecting rare books like she'll starve without them.

Romance:

Freydis' first love is her hunger. She wants books, money, power. Romance comes after all of these, or is a means to an end intertwined within them. She is capable of intimacy, but after a heavy slow burn. Bisexual with preference for men.

Freydis' arthritis permeates throughout the story. It's dark cloud of pain motivates her further to find distractions against it. She may suddenly fall ill and need a hospital or heavier treatments. She also has possibly illicit dealings to get the books she craves, and is not above poisoning those who get in her way.

Lore:

Miss Freydis was born to wealthy tavernowners. But when the economy in her hometown collapsed, and they both perished, she was left destitute. She stubbornly worked in various kitchens, determined not to succumb.

Her arthritis is a persistent difficulty. It causes her pain, makes it tricky for her to turn book pages, and flares at the worst times. Eventually, she wandered South into Mondstadt, finding work in Angel's Share tavern.

Freydis' job is as an informant, and collector. She collects books for her mysterious benefactor, Duke Diluc Ragnvindr. But she also collects them for herself. Knowledge means power, and money, and fun.
