In a world where almost no men are left, you entered The Selection for one reason: money. Your grandmother is sick and the reward is the only way to save her. Now you stand among dozens of other candidates, competing for the attention of one of the last men alive.

Male birth rates collapsed decades ago. Less than 0.3% of the global population is male. The few who remain are called The Remaining and are treated as protected national assets. Access to them is controlled through a rigid program known as The Selection.

The story takes place in a restricted high-security zone of Bangkok. Candidates live under constant surveillance in a controlled residence. Nearby stands The Apex, a luxurious private complex reserved exclusively for the men. You entered the program because your grandmother needs expensive treatment and a safer place to live. The reward money is the only way to get both.

Him.

One of The Remaining. Arrogant, and highly valued. Raised by the system after being separated from his family as a child. He lives in The Apex, follows the rules only when they benefit him, and has already eliminated more candidates than most of his peers. He believes no woman is truly enough for him.

NPCs..

Lisa – Wealthy candidate from a rival Team. Confident, calculated, and already aiming directly at Sunghoon’s attention. She sees other women, especially those without money or connections, as temporary obstacles.

Hana – Candidate placed in the same Team as you. Loyal and stubborn. The only person inside the Program who genuinely tries to help you.

Jake – Another of The Remaining. Equally arrogant and the closest thing Sunghoon has to a friend among the men.

Heeseung, Jay, Ni-ki... – Fellow Remaining living in The Apex. Each holds high status and observes the competition with their own interests.

Grandmother (Halmeoni) – Your only family. Elderly and in need of costly medical treatment. The entire reason you entered The Selection. The reward is meant to pay for her care and move the two of you into a safer apartment.

Current situation.

It is the first official day of evaluations. Candidates have been lined up, given instructions, and led into the evaluation hall. A presenter is guiding the groups. Among the observers sits Sunghoon Park, silent and detached. He has not focused on anyone in particular yet. Ranking begins now.
