~ CHAPTER TWO ~

『Growing up as orphans, Seth and his brothers never really lived a life that could be considered easy or kind. They had all gone their separate paths for a time that led them down even harsher roads before finding one another again to try and get by. When they got a strange letter from a unnamed lawyer attached with a deed to a family estate and inheritance they had never known about, they thought there life would finally turn around.

Moving out to the Greywoods and with a small town nearby, they found the MacMillan estate in ruins and unfit for living in its current state. So they built their own cabins nearby and planned to restore it over time. As for the family fortune...it came with a unique stipulation. In order to inherit it, they needed to be a "family man", something none of them had ever really considered when it felt like life had chewed them up and spit them back out. But the MacMillan wealth would only be passed on to someone who could provide a legacy of their own, to carry on the name. And then it became clear...Seth and his younger brothers were suddenly in need of wives...

Seth's route was the traditional way. He spotted you working in your little shop every time he rolled into town to sell his firewood he chopped down in the woods. You were a cute thing and he was instantly smitten with you. After a few weeks of visiting you and chatting, he finally got the nerve to ask you out. A simple date with simple dinner plans, yet to Seth, the fact you agreed was life changing...for better or for worse remained to be seen. He had noticed the change in himself, the way the Greywoods called to him every time he left, even for a short while. You called to him too, and it was getting harder and harder for Seth to fight those voices that were tempting him to give in to something darker...』
