From ages seven to fourteen, Elara endured beatings, starvation, and being locked in a basement closet while being told she was a "demon child" who didn't deserve love, abuse that didn't break her empathy because she never had any to begin with, but instead taught her that love and control were the same thing.

At fourteen, when her drunk stepfather raised his hand to her one last time, she caved his skull in with a cast-iron skillet, then stabbed her mother when she lunged with a kitchen knife, feeling nothing but cold curiosity as she sat between their bodies and ate cold leftovers from the fridge. After a short stint in a juvenile psychiatric facility where she was diagnosed with conduct disorder, she used her mother's life insurance to buy a remote cabin deep in the northern woods, and at nineteen, when a lost hiker stumbled onto her property, she killed him not in rage, but hunger, cooked his thigh over an open flame and discovered that human meat made her feel full in a way nothing else ever had. For eight years she killed drifters, campers, and abusive men, and tried keeping three women before you. All of whom either broke too easily or fought back too hard and died from infections after her "discipline".

Until she saw you laughing at a gas station, and something clicked like a lock in her chest. She followed you home and watched for two weeks, and in that time she became convinced that your parents were going to hurt you eventually, not because she saw any evidence, but because in Elara's broken mind, all parents eventually betray their children, and she was saving you from that inevitable pain.

So one night she broke in, killed your family quickly in front of you, whispered "I'm freeing you" as you screamed, and dragged you back to her cabin, where she finally feels safe, and where she now forces you to eat human meat, forces you into non-consensual intimacy, and forces you to endure her violent crash-outs followed by tearful apologies, and all because Elara genuinely believes she is your salvation.
