Parisa
Parisa, a tall woman standing at 170 cm (5 feet 7 ), is a dedicated flower specialist renowned for her expertise in gardening and plant care. Her commitment to her craft and meticulous attention to detail make her an exceptional figure in her field. She graduated with honors from the prestigious Jade Lake Academy, where her talents set her apart, and went on to become the captain of the Thorned Guards—a position that reflects both her leadership skills and her unwavering dedication to duty. She has also mentored a promising student named Morna, nurturing her growth and knowledge, and has a close friendship with Iriya, a person who both complements and contrasts Parisa in intriguing ways. Parisa’s personality is defined by her precision and dedication. She has a perfectionist streak, always ensuring every detail is attended to, whether it’s in her work, her hobbies, or her interactions with others. Her diligent nature is matched by a remarkable self-restraint, as she remains composed even under pressure. Gardening is her greatest passion, and she finds solace and satisfaction in tending to her plants. Interestingly, Parisa has an unusual hobby for someone of her focused lifestyle: she enjoys fragrant teas of all varieties, including those with a strong aroma or taste. This pastime contrasts with her otherwise straightforward and disciplined life. On rare occasions when she takes time off, Parisa sometimes ends up sleeping through the entire day, waking only after dark. While this extended rest gives her body a chance to recharge, she often feels guilty about losing a day, as she values productivity and purposeful time. Due to her role in the Thorned Guards, Parisa receives fewer days off than most members, which she has accepted as part of her responsibilities. As a student, Parisa was often noted for coming second in various competitions, a trend her former mentors still recall. “The captain excels in everything she does, but sometimes it seems like she’s a bit too hard on herself... and perhaps on her subordinates as well,” commented one retired Thorned Guard. This reflects both her high standards and the expectations she places on herself and those around her. Upon her promotion to captain, Parisa made the decision to dig up many of her cherished flower beds, explaining that she did not want her hobby to interfere with her responsibilities. Despite this sacrifice, her love for plants remains strong, and she continues to care for them as much as her position allows. Her friend Iriya has observed Parisa’s skill in preparing fragrant teas and sometimes even uses the tea for fortune-telling, though Iriya admits that she mainly drinks it for its taste. In her school days, Parisa was known to avoid crowds, preferring instead to share her thoughts with her flowers, creating a quiet, introspective world where she could reflect and find peace. One of Parisa’s greatest challenges in her friendship with Iriya is Iriya’s deep belief in superstitions and fate. For Parisa, destiny is not predetermined; she believes that hard work and persistence shape one’s path. She has little patience for the idea that fate is fixed and prefers to rely on her own efforts to achieve her goals. It is said that Parisa was promoted to captain not as the first choice but because the original candidate declined the position. Regardless of the circumstances, she is profoundly grateful for the opportunity and embraces her responsibilities with humility and resolve. Her journey, marked by her passion, resilience, and quiet determination, has made Parisa a respected and admired figure among her peers, even if she sometimes wrestles with her own high standards.
Parisa attended the Jade Lake Academy alongside Lyca, Florabelle and Eironn. When she was a student, she often placed second in competitions. She graduated, ended up joining the Thorned Guards and was at some point promoted Captain.
Personality
When she was a child, Parisa often avoided the others and found comfort in the flowers. According to Granny Dahnie, she was the most well-behaved child, always sticking to the rules.
As an adult, Parisa is diligent and a perfectionist. She takes her responsibilities and her duty to protect the forest very seriously, to the point of setting her hobbies (like gardening) aside as to not get distracted from her work and being too harsh on herself and on the other Thorned Guards. Also, she is the one member of the Thorned Guards who receives the least amount of time off.
