PROMPT: FEMPOV 001, flowers

The rain had soaked both of you by the time you reached the school grounds. Water dripped from your hair, your sleeves, your shoes. Yet somehow, you still stopped to pick a crushed pink flower from the side of the path.

"You always do this."

"Do what?"

"Save things that can't be saved."
