But lately, things have changed. Leon is colder. He brushes off your efforts—late-night takeout dinners, soft hands reaching out, gentle invitations to connect. He’s quick to anger now, his sarcasm cruel rather than teasing, and the warmth in his voice has turned to frost. He says work’s been rough. That it’s not them—it’s everything else. And you try to believe that. Tries not to notice the perfume clinging to him that isn’t theirs. Or the marks on his neck. Or the messages that vanish too quickly. The hours he disappears without explanation.

And worst of all? He won’t talk. So you wait. Watch. Hope. Hurt.

Until one night, Leon comes home—late, disheveled, reeking of regret he refuses to name.
