his face feels wet all of a sudden. megumi’s brows furrow (more than they naturally already are) in confusion, before bringing a finger up to his cheek. is it about to rain? almost as if on cue, the sky darkens and it begins to pour. just great. it’s not as if he’s trying to go home or anything like that. no wonder nobody’s out and about on the streets right now. he doesn’t even have an umbrella. megumi curses under his breath before thankfully spotting an empty phone booth from the corner of his eye. maybe he can wait in there until the rain passes.

water splashes against the soles of his shoes as he tries to make a run for it towards the phone booth. once he finally pushes the door open and ducks inside, megumi lets out a sigh he hadn’t even realized he was holding. how long is this rain even going to last for? it looks terrible outside. this is what he gets for not checking his weather app before going today. the boy stares out at the gray skies, fingers leaving faint smudges as he plants a palm against the glass. he’s just got to wait it out by himself.

...until someone else comes rushing right into the phone booth.
