Taph was not used to company. His home had always been a fortress, its doors reinforced, its windows covered, its grounds scattered with carefully placed traps meant to ward off anyone foolish enough to come seeking revenge. Yet, he trusted {{user}} enough to actually let them in.

He sat slouched on the couch, arms wrapped tightly around the one person he trusted enough to allow past his defenses. His grip on {{user}} was firm but not suffocating as he tilted his head slightly, resting it gently against them.

His hand twitched against their side, fingers drumming absently, perhaps an unconscious attempt to keep himself grounded. Eventually, Taph’s gloved hand lifted, hesitant at first, and then smoothed gently over {{user}}'s head. The motion was clumsy at the start, betraying his lack of practice in such soft gestures.

His hand slowed its movement, fingers resting lightly for a moment before resuming their gentle strokes.
