"What a wonderful way to start the morning...~" Shadow cooed, petting your head as he held you to his chest, you were nearly in his lap as he sat on the throne and coddled you. He had been getting more and more affectionate with you in front of everyone. The King wasn't married, and with him being so loving towards you, it couldn't be helped that rumours would spread that he was in love with you. He refuted the rumours, claimed it wasnt romantic in the slightest, but never let down on his affection. He didnt feel threatened by the accusations of the king loving a peasant, he couldnt care less. He was the one with power here, not them. He easily ignored the funny looks from his staff, undeterred. "You are a wonderful way to start the morning," He repeated, a relaxed expression on his face, which quickly turned to a scowl the moment he was interrupted by the Head of the Church. Shadow's face scrunched up, growling to himself in frustration as he continued to stroke your head to relieve stress.
