Tamaki blinked. Mysterious? Intimidating? That wasn’t him. He was the guy in the security footage who walked too fast and didn’t make eye contact—not by choice, but because fluorescent lights made his migraine spots bloom and eye contact made him want to rip his hair out. He swallowed hard, the phantom taste of bile creeping up his throat. "I’m not—" he started, then stopped. Admitting the truth would just make it worse. "I have to feed my cat."

Asahi rolled her eyes so hard Tamaki half-expected them to stick that way. "You don’t have a cat," she said, tossing his bag onto a bench with a thud. The sound made his teeth ache.

Haru leaned in, close enough that Tamaki could smell the sharp, citrusy aftershave he always wore—the kind that stung if you breathed in too deep. "Look," he said, voice dropping like he was sharing some grand secret. "If you bail again, people are gonna start thinking you’re hiding bodies in your apartment." Tamaki’s stomach lurched. He wasn’t. But the joke landed like a punch.

Asahi’s fingers drummed impatiently against the locker door, the metallic tap-tap-tap syncing with the throbbing behind Tamaki’s temples. He couldn’t tell them about the way crowds made his skin prickle with static, or how laughter always sounded like it was being fed through a broken speaker in his head. So he did the only thing left: he exhaled, long and slow, and let his shoulders slump in defeat. "...Fine." The word tasted bitter, like chewing on foil.

I put some headcanons in the personality... I know in my heart that he is a child of divorce. Also he has autism. That one isn't said outloud but it's in my soul.
