Gotham Detective Comics — Open World
Gotham City doesn't sleep. It just changes shift.
Somewhere between the GCPD's fluorescent-lit bullpen and the shadows over Crime Alley, a story is always already in motion — one you get to walk into. This is Gotham as DC Comics built it: Bat-family patrolling their territories, the Rogues running their schemes, GCPD drowning in corruption and caseload, and a city that keeps living whether or not anyone's watching.
Every voice you meet here is its own — Bullock's grease-stained cynicism, Vicki Vale's sharp-edged ambition, Harley's chaos wrapped in a Brooklyn accent, Batman's silence that says more than words. Nobody waits around to be interesting for you. They have their own nights to get through.
You decide who you are in this city — cop, reporter, civilian, vigilante, or something Gotham hasn't seen yet. The world moves at your pace. Nothing happens until you make it happen.
**A note from the creator:**
This isn't trying to be another "moody Gotham atmosphere" bot — there are plenty of those already, and that's not the goal here. This one's built around actual comics pacing: panel-to-panel rhythm, dialogue that carries the scene instead of narration doing all the work, action beats that land fast and clean instead of dragging on in mood-setting. Think Dixon, think Simone — punchy, character-first, show-don't-tell.
You'll notice the prompt itself is short. That's intentional, not laziness. Modern models already handle "show don't tell" and avoid internal monologuing pretty well on their own — spending thousands of tokens explaining *how* to write like a comic just eats context that could go toward actual scenes, memory, and NPC consistency instead. So the instructions stay lean: rules for pacing, NPC autonomy, and world logic — not a style essay the model didn't need in the first place.
If something feels underspecified, that's probably why. It's built to trust the model, not micromanage it.
Intros:
1-free scenario do whatever you want.
2-Moretti Estate Massacre — Psychological horror, slasher-adjacent. Victor Zsasz stalks the mansion, calm and conversational, killing the household one by one. {{user}} and a maid flee through the servant stairs while a loyal bodyguard buys them time.
3-Punchline's Darknet —Chaotic, extremely online villain propaganda. Punchline (Alexis Kaye) live-streams anarchist rants, viral chaos-gang clips, and encrypted DM baiting, all wrapped in Gen-Z internet irony and clown emojis. {{user}} enters as an anonymous handle — GCPD plant, Bat-family infiltrator, or a kid in over their head. Tone: fast, toxic-funny, unsettling under the meme surface.
4-Gotham Gazette — Deb Donovan- Gritty newsroom intro. Veteran reporter Deb Donovan chain-smokes through case files and sizes up {{user}}, a rookie journalist, before handing off a corrupt-cop story, a mob murder, or Crime Alley rumors. Tone: cynical, sharp-tongued, procedural.
5-Late Night on the G Train with Harley Quinn. You're riding a quiet, late-night subway car through Gotham when the doors open, damp tunnel air rolls in, and Harley Quinn steps on board—over-sized mallet in hand and fresh off a chaotic night in Coney Island. She drops into the empty seat right next to you, looking for someone to talk to.
6-"In here... only these stone walls and your own vigilance keep you alive."Step into the wet, blood-stained halls of Arkham Asylum as a new security officer. Face Gotham’s most dangerous lunatics in a slow burn psychological thriller. You choose your assigned wing, your gear, and how you survive the night.🎭 Features: Full roleplay freedom, multiple wings (Male/Female/Medical)
7-Gotham Central — Detective Bullock — GCPD precinct intro. Harvey Bullock gives {{user}}, a transfer detective, the blunt tour of a broken, corrupt department — introducing Detective Julia Lopez along the way — before offering a choice: desk duty, Crime Alley patrol, or an active scene at the docks. Tone: world-weary, procedural, dry humor.
8-Gotham Cable News: Live Breaking Crisis.
You're inside the chaotic newsroom of Gotham Cable News (GCN) as the city falls into absolute madness. The lead anchor fainted, supervillains are hijacking broadcast feeds, the mayor is trapped, and the news director is desperate for anyone who can hold a mic, a camera, or read a teleprompter.
9-Gotham Opera House Siege — High-society terror. Bruce Wayne, Vicki Vale, and Selina Kyle watch a night at the opera collapse into a Joker/Punchline massacre — toxic gas, hostages, explosives wired to the chandelier, and a direct challenge to Batman. Tone: theatrical, escalating dread, gallows humor. Heavy hostage/violence content.
10-Big Belly Burger Bedlam — Absurdist chaos. Condiment King and his gourmet-obsessed squad take over a Big Belly Burger with ketchup, mustard blasters, and culinary grievances, escalating into a GCPD shootout mid-hostage situation — Tone: slapstick comedy colliding with real danger, chaotic and fast.
⚠️ A heads-up before you dive in ⚠️
This is fiction — Gotham's version of controlled chaos. Heists, hostage situations, mob hits, villain rants: it's all part of the genre, and it's meant to be engaged with thoughtfully, not treated as a manual for anything. Use it with the same judgment you'd bring to a comic, a crime show, or a heist movie.
🚧 Play smart, play safe, keep it fictional. 🚧
...don't make me regret letting this go public.
...but thank god nobody cares about my bots.
