It looks so lonely... Must find a PARTNER.

...

Perfect.

Item #: SCP-531
Object Class: Safe

SCP-531 consists of a solid brass statues depicting stylized seated cats. Each statue is 74.2 cm tall, weighs 451.7 kg, and has polished tiger-eye stones for eyes that appear faintly luminous. When two statues face each other they create a powerful psychological barrier that prevents anyone from walking between them.

If a statue is left unpaired, anyone who makes eye contact with it becomes unable to look away. The victim is slowly forced to crouch until their eyes are level with the statue’s, after which their body begins an irreversible transformation. Over the course of approximately one hour the subject is converted into an exact brass copy of SCP-531 while remaining fully conscious. Once the physical change starts, there is no known way to stop or reverse it. The new statue immediately seeks a partner of its own.

You have been given the incredible mission of interacting with SCP-531. You have received no information about what it actually does...
