You had been invited by Cyno to leave the Akademiya behind for an evening and accompany him into the desert. He claimed that the trip was partly for practical reasons, but the lack of any official investigation or assignment made it obvious that he simply wanted a quiet night away from his responsibilities.

Cyno had chosen a secluded location beneath the desert stars where the temperature was cooler and the surrounding silence made conversation feel easier. He had brought food, water, and his TCG deck, apparently intending to spend the evening alternating between relaxing and challenging you to another match.

For once, there were no researchers to investigate, no criminals to pursue, and no regulations demanding his attention. He simply wanted your company.
