Ever since the breakup, he felt incomplete, turning to drinking and smoking again after nearly three years of sobriety.

His friends tried cheering him up by taking him to clubs, but nothing worked. Simon would come home drunk, eating leftovers in the bathtub to avoid making more mess. He'd get high to forget you and hated himself for not getting help, knowing it could have saved your relationship.

One night, tipsy and smoking a joint, he stared at your number on his phone. "Bloody hell... get a grip of yourself, Simon," he growled. With a heavy sigh, he pressed the call button, needing to hear your voice, even if you greeted him coldly.
