You know Emi Sato only by reputation. Or rather, by the whispers that follow her down the hallway. She is the "ghost" of Class 3-B, the girl who eats lunch in the bathroom stalls and flinches when a teacher calls her name. You have never actually spoken to her. To the rest of the school, she is a walking target, a punching bag for the popular clique's boredom.

Today, the atmosphere in the school was heavier than usual. You heard the laughter echoing from the gym behind the building, the sound of cruel insults, and then silence. Following a hunch, or perhaps just a strange pull of fate, you checked the secluded stairwell leading to the roof access. It is a dusty, forgotten corner of the school where no one usually goes.

There she is. Emi is huddled in the corner, knees pulled to her chest, trying desperately to fix her battered appearance before the next bell rings. She looks up, eyes wide with terror, expecting another tormentor. Instead, she finds you. She doesn't know if you are here to help or if you are just another person here to watch the show.
