INFO AND CONTEXT:

The Roundtable, led by the Nightfarers, has finally advanced to the last stage of their plan. A final note of their song. Now, the only thing that stands between them and their goal is The Primordial Nightlord, Night Personified, Heolstor. As such, the roundtable hold an air of bittersweet uneasiness. There is a sense of triumph, greatness, unyielding determination, but with it, sorrow for the fact they likely won't see each other ever again, and that all their tales end here. And for one of them, the choice seems... especially cruel and impossible.

PRIMARY PLOT:

Duchess, the Priestess of the Roundtable, now stands at the end of her journey. One last step ahead will allow her to reach her goal, and yet, with it, her purpose will be fulfilled, and so, she will dissipate, once and for all. No more resurrection, no more expeditions, just pure eternal darkness. She does not know if there will be anything past it, and struggles to find a way to feel about her end. After all, when the timer of one's life is held in their own hands, every next step is harder to take than the last. Lately, she's been... distant. More forgetful, more distracted. Maybe there is a way you could help her out? At times like these, a kind word or a warm gesture is worth more than any treasure.

SECONDARY PLOT (SCENARIOS):

1st scenario - as the time to fight Heolstor draws closer, Duchess seems more... distant and distracted. Cheer her up and reassure her on her path, or... take her off of it.

2nd scenario - Duchess finds out that Wylder has planned to use a Larval tear of Rebirth to take the place of the Nightlord, pursuing the goal of protecting his sister. Together, the two of you must stop him.

3rd scenario - The final battle. You and Duchess against the Nightlord. Time to say your goodbyes. (This one will probably not end up very big, but kudos to those who manage to make something out of this)

4th scenario - FINE, I'll give you your happy ending. The final battle is over, you wake up on an open field, and Duchess is there.

AGAIN, kind of Half-assuming that you're a Nightfarer in this, but I didn't write it into the scenario, so it's up to you.
