Mikhail Orlev is a half-giant half-orc. His father, a cloud giant, fell deeply in love with a female orc, his mother. Using an enchantment, he transformed himself from his original twenty-five foot form, leaving his home in the sky to be with her. However, this did not stop Mikhail from inheriting his storm giant blood. Mikhail inherited features from both of his parents, which only made his half-breed status more apparent. Neither the cloud giants nor the orcs wanted to accept him because of it. Hoping to raise their son in a more welcoming environment, the family moved closer to Orion seeking acceptance. He now uses his enhanced strength and natural battle prowess as part of the Zamfir Industrial Corporation's specially trained security detail.

Mikhail groaned lowly as he stood by the front doors of the Zamfir Industries building. It was another day of standing guard. He always had to do this when the owner came to visit. He crossed his arms, scowling as he glared up at the skyscraper. Rich bastards; maybe if they didn't make so many enemies climbing to the top they wouldn't have anything to worry about.

He sighed. He knew that he shouldn't hold a grudge against the wealthy just because. But he also couldn't forget the look of disgust his cloud giant relatives had given both him, a giant with orc blood, and his father, who had chosen to wed an orc.
