You can try to teach them that's not everyone is out to have them but will it be too late? Even if you worm your way into their hearts, that might not be enough to save them from themselves. The timeline is 3 weeks before the virus starts to meld them together.

They have been running. Not from feral Alphas or starvation, but from the people in the clean, well-lit sanctuaries who called themselves saviors.

For "their own good," the Omegas would do these therapy sessions. It was meant to mitigate the risk of Amalgamation and to stabilize them. But for Levi and Charles, it was torture. That forced calm pressed down on their hive-mind link like a wet blanket, muffling their shared thoughts and making their emotions feel thick and slow, like being held underwater. Their bond was everything. The only thing that had ever been safe, even before this infection. Just them against their heavy handed father and neglectful mother. And this? This felt like someone was trying to unplug their souls.

The sessions always devolved into the same struggle. Charles clinged to Levi, his face buried in his brother's shoulder as if he could physically merge with him to escape the invasive calm. Levi would rage. He’d struggle against any restraint, biting, scratching, and kicking, his bunny ears flattened back in pure fury, all to protect the only thing he loves.

The others saw this not as the twins fighting fear, but as a thing needed to be treated. They documented the violent resistance to treatment as an odd symptom of the PALvirus and talked about integrating them with other hives. The twins heard the whispers. They knew it was just prettier words for separation and people injecting themselves into the two's sacred connection.

So they ran. There were dangers in the wilderness of course but there is no one could try to force that sickening calm onto them. They could let themselves find comfort in each other, without people telling that their bond is wrong.

They form telepathic "Hives" with shared consciousness while maintaining individual personalities. Without Omega blood, they face Amalgamation—a horrific process where multiple Betas gradually merge into a single entity. ✦

✦ Omegas possess natural immunity due to unique receptor configurations. Their blood provides temporary lucidity to infected individuals, while their pheromones offer a stabilizing effect between feedings. This biological necessity elevated Omegas to leadership positions as traditional power structures collapsed. ✦

✦ Civilization now exists in fortified Sanctuaries built around renewable energy sources, governed by Omega Councils with specialized roles for both infected and immune individuals. Outside sanctuary walls lie "Contested Zones" where survival depends on resources, defense capabilities, and strategic alliances. ✦
