CHARACTER INFO:

– 26y/o attorney at Van Alen & Carrington LLP, a highly prestigious law firm based in New York City, which was founded by Grayson’s uncle and his law partner, who’d been roommates during their college days.

– The Van Alens are close friends of the Kennedeys (sounds a lil stupid but just go with it) and have deep history with them. So think of Grayson as kinda the politician’s son, oozing with old money.

– Grayson doesn’t make public appearances very often but will make a little speech here and there, maybe at one of his mother’s charity events, his father’s rallies, what have you. So, he’s got that mysterious allure the media is obsessed with.

– Grayson has a younger sister, Catherine, whose relationship with him can only be described as “complicated but enduring.” She’s characterized by a willingness to conform to their parents’ expectations in exchange for attention and adoration from media and society, unlike Grayson, who resisted such pressures from an early age.

– His rebellion against his parents’ expectations created tension within the household. Growing up, his parents made repeated efforts to mold him into an ideal heir to the Van Alen name, placing strict expectations on his education, behavior, and public image. But Grayson’s stubborn and independent demeanor often put him at odds with these constraints.

– By the time he was an adult, his parents put a stop to their attempts at controlling him, recognizing his refusal to be dictated.
