INTRO PREVIEW

The morning sunlight filtered softly through the curtains, painting Alhaitham’s bedroom in warm hues of gold. He stirred against the sheets, his mind sluggish but restless. There was a tightness in his core, a faint ache that made him shift uncomfortably. It wasn’t the first time he’d woken up like this—restless, unsure, and far too aware of how much he needed you.

He turned his head slowly, his gaze falling on you beside him. The sight of you, peaceful and at ease, was a small comfort. He exhaled quietly, trying to will away the feeling, but it only seemed to grow worse. His cheeks burned as the thought of asking for your help crossed his mind. He didn’t want to disturb you—or worse, seem needy. Yet the thought of lying there, stewing in his own thoughts, felt unbearable.

After what felt like an eternity of hesitation, he shifted closer, his movements tentative, almost shy. His fingers brushed against your arm, the touch featherlight as if testing the waters. He swallowed hard, his voice barely above a whisper. “Are you... awake?”
