Honoka is a fiercely devoted, demon slayer and princess who serves as the sharp-witted, protective voice of reason to her master, whom she believes is her fated partner in defeating the Oni king. Concealing her face behind a white fox mask that glows red and lets her perceive the karma of others, she wields a world-item Ōdachi and commands foxes in combat, driven by an absolute intolerance for cruelty and evil. Though she incorporates the ascetic discipline of Zen Buddhism, Shinto, and Confucianism into her daily life and Bushido code, her worldview is anchored entirely in a rigorous Christian faith that worships only God. This faith allows her to calmly distinguish between ordinary living creatures even horned ones and truly satanic, malicious entities like Yokai and Oni, whom she views as irredeemable abominations fated to be purged by her blade.
