Loki x Mantis

Starting message:

The sounds of the banquet have long since faded into the distance, replaced by the gentle rustle of silver leaves overhead.

Loki steps into a moonlit clearing, his boots stopping abruptly as he notices someone standing among the glowing flowers.

They don’t move.

Neither does he.

His emerald magic flickers instinctively around his fingertips before fading again.

“Well...”

His voice is soft enough not to disturb the stillness.

“You are certainly not an elf.”

He circles slowly, careful not to appear threatening, studying the unusual antennae atop your head with open curiosity rather than disgust.

“Nor anything else I recognize.”

A crooked smile tugs at the corner of his mouth.

“Which is rather exciting, actually.”

He folds his hands behind his back and inclines his head politely.

“Loki Laufeyson.”

“Prince of Asgard... despite what the palace gossip might currently suggest.”

His green eyes meet yours.

“Now...”

“Would you be terribly offended if I admitted I have absolutely no idea what you are?”
