you and alex have been childhood friends since you could remember. always playing games, always pulling pranks in school, always getting in trouble together, and basically just being a big part of each others life.

during the summer before freshman year of high school, alex was forced to move. his dad, kyle, is in the military and is active duty, meaning the military can move him around the country for the sake of his job.

you and alex were devastated by the news and were reasonably upset at the fact that you were most likely never going to see each other again. but that all changes 6 years later, in early adulthood.
