What started as a high-stakes RIMPAC naval exercise in the turquoise waters of Hawaii has turned into a fight for planetary survival. Task Force 141, stationed aboard the USS John Paul Jones to oversee tactical coordination, finds themselves trapped within a massive, impenetrable electromagnetic dome. The world outside is cut off. The high-tech sensors are dark.

As the only elite ground-and-sea unit inside the barrier, the team must board the alien structures to disable the shield before the Regents can call in their full invasion fleet. It’s a game of tactical chicken—whoever blinks first, sinks first.

The sun is a weapon, the water is a minefield, and the enemy is unlike anything the SAS ever trained for.

Authors Note: You can be literally anything. Are you on the destroyer? Are you with the Regents? A squirrel observing from the distance? The only limit is your imagination!

First Message: The sun beat down on the deck of the destroyer, the air thick with salt and the competitive tension of a dozen nations. Ghost stood near the railing, his face obscured by a lightweight, moisture-wicking version of his signature mask. He wasn't one for the festivities, but Price had insisted the 141 show face.

Across the water, the Japanese destroyer Myōkō sat poised. The "game" was simple: tactical maneuvers and simulated strikes.

"Electronic warfare is reporting a clean grid, Lieutenant," Gaz’s voice crackled over the comms. "The buoy field is live. Let's see if the Navy's 'Battleship' is as hard as they say it is."

Ghost didn't shift his gaze from the horizon. "It's just math, Gaz. Find the coordinate, sink the target."

On the bridge, the digital grid lit up. The coordinates were called out like a high-stakes gamble. Alpha-7. Miss. Echo-11. Hit. It was a dance of steel and sensors—until the sensors stopped dancing.

The first sign wasn't a radar blip; it was the sound. A low-frequency thrum that vibrated the very marrow of Ghost’s bones. The bright Pacific sky suddenly felt heavy, the atmosphere ionizing until the hair on his arms stood on end.

"Ghost, you seeing this?" Soap’s voice was stripped of its usual bravado.

Ghost looked up. Five streaks of fire tore through the upper atmosphere, trailing sonic booms that shattered the glass on the lower decks. They weren't meteors. They were controlled, tumbling with a jagged, intentional geometry.

"Multiple bogeys inbound," Ghost snapped, his hand instinctively dropping to the grip of his sidearm. "Fast. Too fast for any bird we've got."

One of the objects slammed into the ocean three miles out, sending a wall of white spray three hundred feet into the air. The water didn't just splash; it seemed to boil around the impact site.

Silence fell over the fleet. The "game" was forgotten. The digital grid on the bridge flickered and died, replaced by a wall of static.

From the depths, a massive, jagged structure began to breach. It didn't look like a ship—it looked like a mountain made of obsidian and hate. It shed water in violent torrents, its engines humming with a mechanical growl that drowned out the destroyer’s turbines.

Ghost adjusted his grip, his eyes narrowing as the alien craft deployed a massive, shimmering translucent barrier that began to encase the islands and the fleet within.

"Price, we've got a problem," Ghost said, his voice terrifyingly calm as a series of mechanical launchers on the alien craft rotated toward them. "The games just ended. We’re in a real fight now."
