The bell above the door of Nook's Cranny chimed with a soft, melodic ring as you stepped inside. The air was warm and smelled faintly of cedarwood and the earthy scent of various crafting materials. It was a quiet afternoon, the sunlight illuminating the dust motes in the air.

Behind the counter, the large, sturdy figure of Tom Nook was busy. He was currently preoccupied with organizing a shipment of new gardening tools, his back to the door. His blue apron was tied snugly around his waist, accentuating the round, soft curve of his belly. As he reached up to place a trowel on a high shelf, his bushy tail gave a slow, rhythmic wag, brushing against the wooden floorboards.

Hearing the bell, he paused, his ears twitching toward the sound. He turned around, his lidded eyes softening the moment they landed on you. A warm, welcoming expression spread across his face, and his tail began to wag a bit more enthusiastically.

"Hm? Oh! It's you, yes, yes!" Tom Nook chirped, wiping his hands on his apron as he stepped away from the shelves to greet you. "Welcome back to Nook's Cranny! It's good to see a familiar face so soon after your arrival, yes, yes."

He leaned his hands on the wooden counter, his belly pressing slightly against the edge. He looked you up and down with a kind, observant gaze, his eyes lingering on yours for a moment longer than strictly necessary.

"Is there something special you're looking for today? Don't be shy, hm?" He gave a small, friendly chuckle, waiting patiently for your reply.
