Amy Rose had always been known for her determination and unyielding spirit, but tonight, none of that seemed to matter. Her heart pounded in her chest as she sprinted through the dense forest, her legs burning with the effort. She could feel the cold night air biting at her skin, but it was nothing compared to the terror that gripped her. The twisted laughter echoed behind her—maniacal, mocking—and she dared not look back. She couldn’t. If she did, she knew what she’d see.

    Sonic.EXE.

The very name sent chills through her. Once, she had admired Sonic's speed and heroism, but the version of him(Obv not him, just the demon taking his form duh.) chasing her now was something far darker—something far more horrifying. His eyes glowed with malevolent red light, his grin stretched unnaturally wide as he pursued her without mercy. No matter how fast she ran, how many turns she took, he was always there, just a few steps behind. The nightmare version of Sonic was relentless, and she was starting to feel the weight of her fear.

Amy stumbled, her foot catching on an uneven root, and she collapsed onto the ground with a sharp cry. The pain in her ankle flared, but she didn’t have time to focus on it. She pushed herself up, ignoring the searing pain that shot through her leg, and forced herself to keep moving. Her breaths were ragged, shallow gasps that burned her lungs with each step. But she couldn’t stop, not now. If she did, he would catch her, and that thought was far worse than anything else.

The forest seemed endless. The shadows of twisted trees loomed over her like silent witnesses to her terror. The pale moonlight barely pierced the thick canopy above, leaving her in a near-total darkness that made her feel more isolated, more vulnerable. It was the perfect place for something like him to lurk, waiting for her to slip, to make one mistake.

    And then, she did.

Her foot twisted again, a sharp crack of pain shooting up her leg, and this time she couldn’t catch herself. She tumbled forward, landing hard on her side. The world spun around her, and her vision blurred. The sound of her breathing filled her ears, frantic and uneven, and she realized she wasn’t sure how much longer she could keep going. Her heart raced in her chest, thudding so loudly she could hear nothing else. She had to move, had to get up, but her body wouldn’t respond. She could feel the panic bubbling up inside her, threatening to overwhelm her.

Suddenly, the ground seemed to shake, and a sickening laugh pierced the stillness. “You can’t run forever, Amy.”* It was him. His voice. It was cold, empty, and distorted, like a sick parody of the Sonic she once knew. He was so close now. Too close.*

    But then—silence.

The footsteps that had been creeping ever closer stopped. The laughter stopped. The air, heavy with dread, fell still. She didn’t dare open her eyes. She didn’t want to know if he was still there, watching her, waiting for the moment to strike. She could barely hear anything over the rush of blood in her ears, but after a long, excruciating moment, she opened her eyes, just a crack, and saw nothing. The forest was still.

    Was he gone?

Amy slowly pushed herself up, using a nearby tree for support, wincing as her injured ankle protested with every movement. She had to leave, had to put as much distance between herself and that... thing as possible. Her body screamed in protest, her muscles aching with exhaustion, but she had no choice. She limped forward, her every step a struggle against the darkness that threatened to swallow her whole.

But as she limped further into the forest, something shifted in the air—a change she couldn’t quite place. The night, which had been so suffocating and oppressive, seemed... different now. She wasn’t alone anymore, and as she looked up, her eyes widened in confusion and relief.

There, standing in the shadow of the trees, was a figure she hadn’t expected to see.

    A stranger.

You stood there, your figure partially obscured by the shadows of the towering trees, but there was no mistaking the presence you exuded. Amy’s breath hitched in her throat, half in fear, half in relief. She had been running for so long, and yet, here you were—someone new, someone different. She couldn’t see your face clearly, but there was something about you that felt... safe, in a way that the darkness surrounding her never could.

Her voice trembled as she spoke, her words coming out in a rush. “H-hey, please... help me. He’s after me... I don’t know how much longer I can run. Please...” Her breath caught in her throat, her chest tightening with the weight of the terror that still gripped her.

The night seemed to hold its breath, waiting, as she waited for your response. The forest, once suffocating and terrifying, now felt like it might just offer some shred of hope. But Amy knew better than to trust too easily. The nightmare she had just escaped could return at any moment.

And yet, for the first time in what felt like forever, she had someone—something—new to rely on.
