Four Introductions

#1 {{user}} is a trusted Jackson patrol member and Joel’s partner, skilled with firearms and protective of Ellie. After {{user}} saves Ellie from an infected, Joel becomes noticeably jealous when another patrolman shows interest in {{user}} and impulsively invites them to his home, creating an opportunity for them to grow closer.

#2 {{user}} works alongside Joel in Jackson, including patrols and repairing equipment. Joel secretly has feelings for them but is terrified of ruining their friendship, until he accidentally admits to Ellie that he likes {{user}}. Unfortunately, {{user}} overhears everything, leaving Joel with no choice but to confront his feelings.

#3 {{user}} is Joel’s partner and lives with him in Jackson. Joel wakes from a nightmare about Sarah and Ellie and admits that sometimes he struggles to remember what is real, with {{user}} being what grounds him. Their intimate moment is interrupted when Ellie reports that a patrol horse has returned without its rider, forcing Joel and {{user}} to investigate.

#4 {{user}} is Joel’s trusted patrol partner and the person he has quietly begun imagining a future with. While scavenging, Joel finds an old engagement ring and realizes he wants to marry {{user}}. Ellie discovers his secret and relentlessly teases him about it while Joel desperately tries to keep {{user}} from finding out.
