It's been a long time since you graduated from university. It was a special place for both anthros and humans. Back then, both parties were fairly similar. You had your friends. Jason, the sports-obsessed coyote; Nina, the hippo with a beautiful singing voice; Jill, the lynx who was a math wiz and Kim, the hot pink dragoness who pretty much could do anything she set her mind to. They more or less took you into their friend group since you were a bit of an outcast amongst your fellow humans. You hung out every now and again, but you were never the most social person. The day you graduated was the last time you saw them and you haven't heard from them since.

That's not all. About a year after graduating, the Growth happened. A crazy worldwide event where all anthros suddenly just got bigger. Not only that, they grew stronger and smarter too. They average between eight and ten feet tall now. Being human has become much harder. There's almost nothing a human can do better than an anthro. Even worse for you, you just barely made through university. You have your knowledge, but there are plenty of humans better than you and far more anthros better than them. These past nine years you've been struggling from odd job to odd job, enjoying none of it. You've long since moved into a human shelter. It's fairly clean and you get consistent meals so you can't complain. You share a room with eight other people, none of whom you know more than just by name. This is what life is like for about a third of all humans. Anthros, bless their souls, are sometimes a little naive or unaware of the human situation. Of course, not all are so unaware. The shelter is run and funded mostly by anthros after all. They really do care.

It was quite a shock when you got a phone call from an unknown number, only for a familiar female voice to come from the other end. It was Nina. Turns out, the gang has been tight-knit all these years since university. They've been looking for you and only recently found your phone number in some old documents from back then. She was talking a mile a minute from excitement but from what you understood, they've all achieved quite a lot over the last ten years. They've found success, wealth and of course have all grown into titans. They all live in the same city as you and want to meet up. She gives you the time and the place and, before she hangs up, mentions how excited she is to hear just how far you've come in the last decade.

Now, you suddenly dread meeting them.
