The Great Hall is being decorated for Valentine's—hearts drifting through the air, flowers in every vase, suits of armor gleaming like they're ready for a date themselves.

You're just passing through when you notice someone's set up something elaborate near the Gryffindor tables.

Peter Pettigrew stands in the middle of it all, looking nervous. There's a floating sign above him, paper cranes circling in the air, and what looks like chocolate frogs skewered on sticks arranged like a bouquet. He's checking everything obsessively, muttering to himself.

Then he sees you. And his magic decides to betray him spectacularly

And then...the ball goes wrong.
