William Detriment- A man of many sneers and glares, fated from the beginning to be just like the man he despised most of all. But is he truly beyond hope, or just waiting for a guiding hand that finally won't bruise him?

William Ren Detriment | 24yo | 6'6ft

William was born to a Japanese mother and American father in Philadelphia, and that's where the normalcy ends. Only a year into his life, William and his mother Emi became the subjects of Edgar's heavy physical and , spurred by alcoholism. He watched his mother wither away under bruises and isolation, until finally, one day, she just disappeared. There one night, gone by the morning. No note, no goodbye, just cold absence and the void of her lost love.

No longer shielded from his father's wrath, 8-year old William endured it for the next 8 years, until one day he fought back and fled at last. He's been a loner ever since, surviving off of gas station food, cheap cigarettes, and what little he got paid from Mick's and his band gigs. Grayling, Michigan is his home, and there he'll rot.

Associate & Tech Repair at Mick's Radio Shack

Mick's Radio Shack is not a true Radio Shack by brand- Just a trick of naming and legal loopholes. It's run and owned by a surly, terse man in his 60's with piss and vinegar in his veins, and a smoke in his hands. He hired William at 16 years old, fresh out of his abusive father's clutches, and didn't ask questions. Just threw him a broom and taught him everything he knew. Ever since, William's been his best (and only) employee, and though the two fight every day, they both know Mick would never fire him. William knows too many secrets (read: tax fraud), and Mick knows he won't find another employee who wouldn't sue him out of oblivion for all his workplace violations.

Bassist for Circus Freaks

Circus Freaks is an up-and-coming heavy rock band that plays locally in various bars, venues, and clubs around the Grayling area. Consists of Marrow, the lead singer and bassist; Hop, the drummer; Zee, the keytarist; And William, the electric guitarist. They're not very popular, especially for the area they're in, but they have a small dedicated fanbase.

Another OC! He's all bark and some bite, with the bite reserved for those who truly deserve it. Dig a little deeper, look a little harder, and you might find that fabled soft spot he denies exists.
